Nuclear stress test may be ordered if doctor suspects you have coronary artery disease. It is also used to guide your treatment if you have been diagnosed with a heart condition.
The nuclear stress test measures blood flow to your heart at rest and while your heart is working harder as a result of exertion or medication. The test can show the size of the heart's chambers, how well the heart is pumping blood and whether the heart has any damage or dead muscle.
This test usually involves taking two sets of images of your heart--on the same day or split between two days.
A nuclear stress test involves injecting a radioisotope into your bloodstream through an IV.
When the test is complete, you may return to normal activities unless your doctor tells you otherwise.
An echocardiogram is a test that uses ultrasound to create pictures of the heart. The test measures heart size, pumping strength, valve function and blood flow using an accredited series of measurements.
Our technicians are registered and very experienced in the field of echocardiography.
There is no special preparation for the echocardiogram and the test takes approximately 30 minutes.
We are able to perform multiple diagnostic vascular ultrasound studies in the comfort of our office. These are non-invasive tests that are able to give valuable information about the vascular system, including the carotid arteries, lower extremity veins and arteries as well as the abdominal aorta.Contact us for an Appointment!
Holter monitors are put on the patients in our office. They are worn for a period of 24 to 48 hours, determined by your doctor. Recordings are made while wearing the monitor and when returned, the recorded data is scanned and a report is read by the doctor. Holter monitors are intended for patients experiencing irregular heartbeats, palpitations or have had an abnormal EKG.Contact us for an Appointment!
